Spotted in Salt Lake City this weekend.
Am I wrong, or is a physical video store a rare thing?

Just did a quick search, and this was the only non-Redbox rental I saw near me: http://www.videosignals.com/

Here the largest video rental store chain morphed into a candy store chain. I guess you can still get some movies from there but now it’s mostly candy.

There are 2 Family Video stores within 10 minutes of my house.
I have absolutely no idea who goes there - people over the age of 70 maybe?

There’s a chain of a few (several?) video stores here in Wisconsin called Family Video. There’s one about a mile and a half from my house. I’ve never been there.
The last time I went to a video store with any frequency was when I was in college in the early ‘00s and there was a Blockbuster a few blocks from my apartment.
I’ve been rolling with Netflix streaming since 2009.
Actually the only physical media player in my house that’s hooked up to anything at the moment is a turntable that we never use but my wife was all excited about getting old records so she was happy when I got it for her birthday or xmas or whatever occasion it was I bought the thing for.

My wife worked for Family Video for about 5 years. The chain is run by a bunch of idiots, and yet some how still doing very well in Northern Wi, I know they go a small far south as Green Bay. I actually just stopped at my local one the other day cuz my wife wanted to rent Bride’s Maids. It’s not on Netflix at the moment and a 5 night rental of a blue ray cost less than a 1 night rental on ITunes.

Family video is a national chain. No R-rated movies, and many of them are next to a pizza place called Marco’s.

Haha there is in fact a Marco’s Pizza next to the Family Video closest to my house. The Family Video was there for years without Marco’s though, that was a relatively recent addition.
